Stricter Parking Regulations to Enhance Traffic Flow

Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is taking measures to streamline traffic and improve safety by enforcing strict parking regulations. Violations such as non-payment of parking fees, misuse of parking facilities, and unauthorized use of spaces can incur fines ranging from Dh100 to Dh10,000.

Key Penalties to Note:

• Unauthorized use of parking for people of determination: Dh1,000 fine.
• Parking without a plate number: Dh1,000 fine.
• Damaging parking equipment or signs: Dh1,000 fine.
• Removal of parking equipment without permission: Dh10,000 fine.

Federal Traffic Laws:

• Parking behind vehicles and blocking movement: Dh500 fine.
• Parking in spaces allocated for people with special needs, with additional penalties of 6 black points on the driving license.

The RTA encourages drivers to adhere to the rules to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety for all road users.
