A Majestic Addition to the Multicultural Mini World Attraction
Dubai’s Global Village has marked a significant achievement by introducing a spectacular giant falcon sculpture, which has entered the record books. Standing at eight meters tall, this steel falcon sculpture is now certified by Guinness as the world’s largest illuminated steel sculpture of a bird. With its wings spanning over 22 meters and weighing 8,000kg, this art piece is not only a tribute to the UAE’s national bird but also a unique Instagrammable spot, adorned by 50,000 lights that brilliantly illuminate it.
Adding to the allure of Global Village, the new Mini World attraction showcases 25 miniature replicas of famous landmarks from around the world, including the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Burj Khalifa, and the Statue of Liberty. These miniature marvels complement the grandeur of the falcon sculpture, making Mini World a must-visit destination within Global Village. This multicultural park opened for its 28th season on October 18 and will continue to welcome visitors until April 28. In 2023, Global Village was recognized as the most visited attraction in the region by YouGov, attracting a record 9 million visitors.
This addition to Global Village is a testament to Dubai’s commitment to cultural diversity and artistic excellence. The falcon sculpture not only symbolizes the UAE’s national pride but also adds a new dimension to the park’s already rich tapestry of global cultures and attractions. As visitors explore Mini World and the rest of Global Village, they experience a blend of educational, cultural, and entertainment offerings that are unparalleled in the region.
