Dubai Aerospace Enterprise’s Fleet Value Reaches $17 Billion

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd, a global aviation services company based in Dubai, has announced its business and operational transactions for 2023, marking significant growth in its portfolio. The company, with its divisions DAE Capital and DAE Engineering, has reached a final fleet size of 493 aircraft, including Airbus, ATR, and Boeing models, collectively valued at $17 billion.

Expanding Fleet and Operations

In a strategic expansion, DAE Capital acquired 20 aircraft and sold 30 in the last year. This was complemented by the acquisition of rights, interests, and obligations for a portfolio of 64 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in the third quarter of 2023. The average age of DAE’s fleet is 7.5 years, indicating a relatively modern collection of aircraft​​​​.

Global Reach and Financial Strength

DAE Capital has served 123 customers across 62 countries, while DAE Engineering has catered to over 50 customers in 25 countries. Notably, DAE Engineering was appointed the Middle East’s first Boeing 737-800BCF conversion line in partnership with Boeing. Demonstrating its financial robustness, the company secured its largest bank financing in history, amounting to $1.6 billion (Dh5.87 billion), which includes both conventional and Islamic tranches​​.

Recognition and Sustainability

DAE has been recognized for its sustainable practices, receiving a Morningstar Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating of 12.5. This rating, the lowest ESG Risk Rating of any rated aircraft lessor, has placed DAE as top-rated in both regional and industry-level ratings for the third consecutive year​​.

Established Global Presence

Since its establishment in 2006, DAE has grown to serve over 170 airline customers in more than 65 countries. The company operates from seven office locations around the world, including Dubai, Dublin, Amman, Singapore, Miami, New York, and Seattle, showcasing its global footprint in the aviation industry​​.
