In a disturbing incident, a driver was shot dead by US police after crashing their vehicle into the Chinese consulate in San Francisco.

Unverified footage circulating on social media captured the chaos at the scene. The video showed a vehicle partially inside the consulate building while officers pointed their weapons at the driver’s door.
As the situation unfolded, people inside the consulate hurriedly fled downstairs and into the open to ensure their safety.

A spokesperson for the Chinese consulate expressed grave concerns about the incident.
The suspect had driven “violently into our consulate’s administration hall, posing a serious threat to the lives of staff and people on-site and causing serious damage,” the spokesperson stated.

Police Account:
According to San Francisco Police Department’s Sergeant Kathryn Winters, officers responded promptly after receiving reports of a vehicle crashing into the visa office at the consulate.
Upon entering the building, officers contacted the suspect, resulting in an officer-involved shooting.
Despite efforts by officers, paramedics, and medics to save the suspect’s life, the individual was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
