Born on June 6, 1981, in Dubai, Marwan Parham Al Awadhi—known to the world as DJ Bliss—began hismusical journey in the late 1990s. What started as small DJ gigs at a local theme park quickly evolvedinto something much greater; a guest DJ spot on a Dubairadio station helped him build earlymomentum, and soon after, he took home the Middle East Regional ‘Palm DJ of the Year’ award. Withthat recognition, a path toward a full-fledged career in music began to unfold.

Driven by passion and persistence, DJ Bliss began promoting his own events, booking internationallyrenowned artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff and Mos Def, while also stepping into the studio to develop his ownsound. He co-produced tracks with Wyclef Jean and released the single “Shining,” featuring Mims andDaffy, his debut album,The Projects, released under BMGI Middle East, climbed into the top 10 ofVirgin’s Middle East album chart—marking his arrival as not just a DJ, but a Producer and artist in hisown right.

But his ambitions didn’t stop withmusic; DJ Bliss expanded into television, becoming the host ofThat’sEntertainmenton Dubai One. The show saw him sit down with global celebrities including James Blunt,Nicki Minaj, and Paris Hilton, giving audiences a new way to connect with him, aroundthe same time, helaunched Bliss Inc. Entertainment—a multi-faceted brand that now includes the Beats and Cuts CelebrityBarber Shop and Karak Inc café, both based in Dubai. These ventures reflected his entrepreneurialmindset and ability to build cultural relevance both on and off the decks.

In 2022, DJ Bliss stepped into a new spotlight with Netflix’sDubai Bling, a reality series offering a lookinto the lives of Dubai’s elite. The show gave fans a more intimate look at his world, including hisrelationship with his wife, Danya Mohammed, and their two children, adding a new dimension to hispublic persona, blending fame, family, and the high-energy pace of his career.Even with the show’s success and the exposure it brought, DJ Bliss ultimately made thedecision to stepaway fromDubai Bling. While the experience offered him a new platform and deeper connection with anew audience, he felt it was the right moment to refocus on his music career and stay aligned with thevalues that have shaped his path from the very beginning.

Throughout his career, DJ Bliss has collaborated with artists like Drake, Beyoncé, and Will Smith, andshared stages with global icons, including opening for Enrique Iglesias at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.His performances have taken him around the world, with stops in Paris, Barcelona, Hong Kong, andmore—cementing his role as one of the region’s most recognized musical exports.

Through it all, he has kept family at the center; married to Danya since 2015, they raise their children,Zayed and Meera, with a strong sense of unity despite the pressures of a public life. Their relationship,often visible on social media, offers a rare look into the balance between global success and personalgrounding.
