The DHA inspections cover a wide range of factors to ensure the safety and well-being of students within private school clinics. Key focus areas include:

  1. Staffing Ratios: Inspectors assess the ratio of doctors and nurses to students, ensuring that the clinics have adequate medical personnel to provide timely care.
  2. First-Aid Supplies: The availability and adequacy of essential first-aid supplies are examined to guarantee immediate medical attention in case of injuries or health issues.
  3. Medical Equipment: The presence and functionality of vital medical equipment such as automatic external defibrillators, blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, diagnostic tools, and oxygen cylinders are verified.
  4. Maintenance: Inspectors check for evidence of regular maintenance of medical devices and equipment to ensure their reliability.
  5. Safety Measures: The health clinics’ overall safety and immediate surroundings are assessed to minimize potential risks.

The field visits are conducted in collaboration with specialized inspection teams and school administrations to ensure that these clinics are fully prepared to provide the highest level of medical services.

This includes immediate intervention in the event of emergencies occurring within school premises.

The DHA’s inspections of private school clinics underscore its commitment to the well-being of students in Dubai.

These assessments ensure that clinics are equipped to handle health emergencies and comply with regulations, contributing to a safe and healthy education environment for students during the academic year 2023-2024.
