Dh51 Million Raised in Dubai RTA’s Final License Plate Auction of 2023

The RTA of Dubai had a tremendous success in its 114th open auction for exclusive automobile licence plates.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) achieved remarkable success in its 114th open auction for exclusive vehicle number plates, held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel on December 30, 2023. 

The auction marked the final license plate auction of the year and raised an impressive Dh51 million.

Star of the Auction: AA30 Tops Sales at Dh4.54 Million:

The auction’s highlight was the sale of plate AA30, which fetched a staggering Dh4.54 million, taking the spotlight as the highest-selling license plate. 

Following closely was O48, securing the second position with a sale price of Dh2.48 million. Other notable sales included AA555 at Dh2.56 million, T64 at Dh2.4 million, and Q66666 at Dh1.61 million.

Variety in Plate Categories Draws Enthusiastic Bidders:

The auction featured 90 fancy plates spanning two, three, four, and five digits, falling under diverse categories such as AA, I, J, M, N, O, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. 

This extensive range provided bidders with various options, each representing unique occasions, symbols, events, or milestones in their lives.
