A Pandemic Pivot to Culinary Stardom

Before embracing her culinary calling, Daniela spent over two decades in fine jewelry design and sales. However, the global pandemic disrupted her career, like it did for so many others. She has been cooking since she was child.

This seemingly small gesture became the spark that lit a new path. Requests for private chef services began pouring in, and what started as an act of kindness soon transformed into a full-fledged culinary career. “From the very first moment, it felt natural,” Daniela says.

Culinary Triumphs: Dubai and Beyond

One of Daniela’s proudest achievements has been curating traditional Italian dinners at renowned restaurants in Dubai, including Ciao Bella and L’Arte. Collaborating with their talented chefs and teams gave her the chance to share her authentic Italian recipes on an international stage.

Another highlight of her career was an invitation to participate at a UN Summit on the Mediterranean Diet, a prestigious opportunity to discuss the cultural and sustainable importance of Italian cuisine. “These opportunities reaffirm the value of preserving and celebrating Italy’s culinary traditions,” she shares.

Embracing Setbacks as Lessons

Like any entrepreneur, Daniela has faced her share of challenges. Most recently, delays in launching her private label taught her a valuable lesson about timing and preparation. Though the setback meant missing targeted sales opportunities, Daniela sees it as an opportunity to recalibrate.

“Setbacks are not failures—they’re lessons,” she explains. “They force us to pause, reassess, and move forward with greater clarity.”

Her private label, which focuses on seasonal and sustainable ingredients, is now set to launch in the summer of 2025, aligning with the freshest Italian product and a more strategic marketing plan.

A Global Culinary Vision

Daniela’s commitment to sharing authentic regional Italian cuisine and culture goes beyond her current projects. She is preparing for her second trip to Dubai in May 2025, planning curated culinary events in Italy and the UK, and finalizing her first cookbook.

“This work connects the past to the present and future,” Daniela says. “I want to showcase Italy’s slow food traditions, celebrating the stories and wisdom of generations before us.”

Her cookbook, a labor of love, will feature recipes by her family and the many Italian nonne (grandmothers) she has learned from over the years.

The Art of Saying No

One of the most valuable lessons Daniela has learned is the power of authenticity. “Saying no to opportunities that don’t align with my vision has been essential,” she says. This commitment has earned her recognition as a cultural ambassador and culinary expert by organizations worldwide.

Her advice to others? “Stay true to who you are and why you do what you do. Authenticity fosters trust, builds relationships, and creates lasting impact.”

Her collaborations with agriturismi (farm stays) and Italian consortia reflect her dedication to sustainability and tradition. By amplifying the voices of those preserving Italy’s culinary heritage, Daniela hopes to leave a lasting impact on future generations.
