Following the runaway success of her recent single “Wizard”—her first No. 1 on iTunes and most successful release to date—Clarita de Quiroz is back with a bold new track. Her latest single, “Yallabye,” arrives June 27, bringing a daring blend of Arabic musical elements and English lyrics, marking a fresh evolution in her sound.

Clarita, known for her powerhouse vocals and piano-driven compositions, uses “Yallabye” as an opportunity to weave the cultural influences of the Middle East into her music more explicitly than ever before. While the lyrics remain in English, the song’s hook incorporates the widely used Arabic phrase “Yalla,” giving the track both regional flair and international appeal.

“I’ve always been inspired by the beauty and rhythm of Arabic music,” says Clarita. “‘Yallabye’ is my way of acknowledging that influence, both musically and emotionally, while still staying true to my vocal identity.”

The track takes a slightly different creative route for the artist. While Clarita guided the song’s concept and direction, the lyrics were written by Matthew Riley of Wastland Productions, making this a rare collaborative writing process. “I usually write all my own material,” Clarita shares. “But I had a hard time channeling this particular theme. I told Matthew, ‘I love to remain positive!’—so diving into a breakup-style narrative wasn’t natural for me.”

Despite her initial hesitation, the result is a fierce and empowering anthem about walking away from dishonesty and reclaiming one’s worth. “It’s not about anyone in particular,” Clarita explains. “But it’s inspired by the real-life experiences of people I know. It’s about that final moment of clarity where you say ‘enough’—and then dance your way out.”

“Yallabye” follows the emotionally rich and widely celebrated “Wizard”, which resonated deeply with audiences and became her first chart-topping single. “I’m so grateful for the love and support that ‘Wizard’ received,” Clarita says. “It’s been overwhelming in the best way, and I hope people connect with this new chapter just as much.”

A brave new sound, a nod to her roots, and a reminder that evolution is essential—“Yallabye” is a statement track, and Clarita de Quiroz is ready for the world to hear it.

“Yallabye” drops June 27 on all streaming platforms.
