UAE is one inch closer to all fleet operations at Barakah.

A Momentous Achievement

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (Enec) proudly declared the completion of the fourth and final unit of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, marking a significant stride toward achieving full fleet operations.

A Clean Energy Powerhouse

Barakah stands as the Middle East’s most extensive single source of clean electricity, inching closer to serving as a robust and sustainable energy provider. Unit 4, upon readiness, is projected to meet 25% of the nation’s electricity demands over the next six decades, as confirmed by Wam, the state news agency.

Ensuring Safety

Before finalizing the setup, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) will conduct comprehensive safety tests, affirming the stringent safety protocols in place at Barakah.

Integration and Power Testing

Integration into the national grid will pave the way for a meticulous Power Ascension Testing phase. This step involves a systematic elevation of power levels, monitored rigorously by the operations team until maximum electricity output is achieved.

A Bright Future

Envisioned to come online in the early months of the upcoming year, Unit 4’s activation will signify the full operational readiness of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, a pivotal achievement in the UAE’s commitment to sustainable and efficient energy production.
