Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez Officially Divorced After Nearly Three Years of Marriage

American singer Ariana Grande and real estate broker Dalton Gomez are officially divorced, as confirmed by a Los Angeles Superior Court judgment on Tuesday. The dissolution of their marriage, which lasted nearly three years, was finalized six months after Grande filed for divorce.

Smooth Separation Process

The separation, which occurred over a year ago, proceeded smoothly with no significant legal disputes, attributed to their pre-nuptial agreement. The couple, who had no children, navigated the split swiftly through the court system, reaching a settlement agreement in October.

Terms of Settlement

As per the agreement, Grande will make a one-time payment of $1,250,000 to Gomez without future alimony obligations. Additionally, she will provide him with half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home and cover up to $25,000 towards his attorneys’ fees.

Reason for Divorce

Like most California divorces, the petition cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. The couple began dating in January 2020, eventually getting engaged in December of the same year and marrying in a private ceremony in May 2021.

Post-Divorce Plans

Following the divorce, Grande released her seventh studio album, “eternal sunshine,” on March 8. She is also set to star as Glinda in the upcoming film adaptation of the musical “Wicked,” alongside Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, slated for release in November.
