Objective:

Former SAS soldier and TV personality Ant Middleton, known for his role in the SAS: Who Dares Wins series, has shifted his focus to the UAE to address childhood obesity.

His goal is to establish confidence-boosting boot camps tailored for youngsters.

Vision for Change:

Middleton, after relocating to the UAE, aims to collaborate with local investors to develop a purpose-built desert camp in Liwa. This initiative intends to empower young individuals by helping them confront fears, foster self-assurance, and cultivate leadership abilities.

Preventative Approach:

Expressing his aim to focus on prevention rather than cure, Middleton emphasizes the importance of instilling discipline, structure, and psychological resilience in today’s youth.

He emphasizes the need for psychological fortitude and resilience in a generation that he views as lacking in these traits.

Military-Style Academy Concept:

The proposed camps mirror a military-style academy, providing training in overcoming challenges such as swimming and fear of heights.

Middleton’s vision includes instilling discipline by teaching self-sufficiency, like making beds and dressing independently.

Call for Self-Sustainability:

Expressing surprise at witnessing children dependent on assistance for simple tasks, Middleton stresses the importance of self-sustainability in young individuals.

He believes in nurturing independence in daily routines, from wearing clothes to simple chores, instilling a sense of responsibility from an early age.
