At just nine years old, Amr worked alongside his father in the field of spinning and weaving. His first job involved sorting textiles, but as he grew older, he began to take on more responsibilities. By the age of 16, he was working in the accounts department, showcasing an early aptitude for business operations.
Despite his involvement in the family business, Amr’s childhood passion lay elsewhere. His love for cars and watches began when he was just 10, creating a special magazine to catalog the vehicles he admired. This passion would come to define his career trajectory in ways he never anticipated.
A Bold Leap into the Car Business
While studying law in university, Amr made a bold decision that would change his life. He asked his father to support him in opening a car showroom. His father agreed, but with one condition: Amr would have one year to prove that he could succeed in the business. If the venture failed, Amr would return to the family textile business.
Amr’s venture into the car business proved to be short-lived. After a year, he incurred significant losses and his father closed the showroom. Though disappointed, Amr did not give up. He returned to the textile industry and, within a few short years, was able to turn the business around. By 2006, his company was producing 250,000 meters of fabric a week—an impressive feat that expanded the company’s reach both inside and outside Egypt.
The Rise and Fall of a Textile Empire
However, the Egyptian Revolution in 2011 and the subsequent economic turmoil had a significant impact on Amr’s textile business. Imported fabrics from China flooded the market, leading to a period of decline. The value of the Egyptian pound depreciated, and Amr’s company, which had been selling products on credit, suffered severe financial losses. By 2020, after the death of his father, Amr made the difficult decision to liquidate the business.
Rather than succumbing to defeat, Amr turned to his passions once again, this time focusing on luxury watches—a sector that had always intrigued him.
A New Beginning: The Luxury Watch Business
In the wake of the company’s closure, Amr launched an Instagram page to sell his personal collection of luxury watches. He took a calculated approach by selling with a modest profit margin and purchasing watches from customers at favorable prices. This strategy helped him build credibility quickly, and within a year, Amr had established a strong reputation in the luxury watch market.
As his network grew, Amr’s passion for luxury cars resurfaced. When some customers offered to trade cars for watches, he seized the opportunity and began selling them through his Instagram page. The demand for cars exceeded his expectations, and this success reignited his passion for the automotive industry, which had been dormant for two decades.
Entering the Car Business Again
After the success of selling cars, Amr decided to create a dedicated Instagram page for his car business. What started as a small home-based operation quickly blossomed into something much bigger. Within one year, Amr opened a showroom and, not long after, secured a second location. His business, now known as LL GROUP, focuses on two key areas: luxury watches and luxury automobiles.
Amr’s ability to adapt to changing market conditions and shift from one industry to another is a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit. Today, LL GROUP continues to thrive, with plans to expand further.
The Future: A Vision for Luxury Homes
Amr’s ambitions do not end with watches and cars. His ultimate vision is to establish a luxury real estate company called Luxury Line Homes. This new venture will focus on offering high-end, exclusive properties to clients who seek the best in luxury living. The company will reflect Amr’s commitment to quality and excellence in every aspect of its operations, just as his watch and car businesses have.
