Alcohol retailers introduce mobile delivery apps in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Here is how you can apply for an alcohol license in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In a recent media report, it was highlighted that leading alcohol retailers, MMI and CityDrinks, have rolled out mobile delivery applications facilitating the delivery of alcoholic beverages in Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively.
This innovative service allows customers to order their preferred drinks and have them delivered to their desired location.
Verification Requirements
However, the convenience of these apps comes with certain verification prerequisites. Customers in Dubai are mandated to possess an alcohol license to place an order, while in Abu Dhabi, an Emirates ID is the requisite proof for placing alcohol delivery orders.
This move represents an adaptation to meet the evolving needs of customers while adhering to the legal requirements and regulations governing alcohol sales and delivery in these Emirates.
