From Detroit Roots to Hollywood Dreams
Alana Duqum’s journey from a Detroit suburb to the heart of Hollywood is a testament to her unwavering passion and dedication. Born into a family where artistry thrived—her father, a Middle Eastern opera singer and painter, and her mother, a dancer and singer turned hair and makeup artist—Alana was destined for the spotlight.
From the tender age of one, Alana was already singing, holding a microphone and singing with enthusiasm. By six, she had written and directed her first play, casting her younger brother as a co-star. Her early years were filled with performances, from school plays to the national anthem at major events.

A Multifaceted Artist: Singer, Actress, Producer
Alana’s versatility is evident in her expansive career. As a singer, she has released singles like “Habibi” and “Lonely Place,” captivating audiences with her soulful voice. Her live stream performances have garnered over 3 million views, solidifying her place in the music industry.
Her film career is equally impressive. In the upcoming film “The Trainer,” directed by Tony Kaye, Alana shares the screen with stars like Gina Gershon, Lenny Kravitz, and Paris Hilton. Notably, she acts, sings, and plays the piano live in this film, showcasing her multifaceted talent. “The Trainer” is premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend.

Championing Meaningful Stories
Alana’s commitment to storytelling extends beyond performance. She is producing and acting in films that address pressing societal issues. “Fragile Baby” delves into the challenges of alcoholism and the importance of American Sign Language, aiming to raise awareness and foster understanding.
Another project, “Henna,” is a biopic that explores cultural identity and personal growth. Additionally, “Like the Tide,” directed by Darine Hotait and starring Tony Shalhoub, promises to be a poignant narrative that resonates with diverse audiences.
Empowering Through Production
Recognizing the need for authentic representation in media, Alana founded Golden Guardian Productions. Through this company, she aims to produce content that amplifies underrepresented voices and tells stories that matter.
