Collaborative Acquisition: Enhancing Caspian Sea Oil Transport

AD Ports Group, in conjunction with KazMorTransFlot (KMTF), the esteemed national shipping entity of Kazakhstan, has unveiled the acquisition and initiation of operations for two cutting-edge vessels. These vessels are strategically designed for the efficient transportation of Kazakhstan’s oil across the expansive Caspian Sea.

Partnership and Ownership Structure

KMTF, which operates under the ownership of Kazakhstan’s national oil company, KazMunayGas (KMG), plays a pivotal role in this collaborative effort. The joint venture between AD Ports Group and KazMorTransFlot (KMTF) has led to the formation of Caspian Integrated Maritime Solutions (CIMS), facilitating this significant endeavor.

Vessels: Liwa and Taraz

The two oil tankers, christened Liwa and Taraz, pay homage to historic cities—Liwa representing an ancient city in the UAE and Taraz, a nod to a city in Kazakhstan. These vessels stand as the result of a collective effort between AD Ports Group and KazMorTransFlot (KMTF) through their joint venture, Caspian Integrated Maritime Solutions (CIMS).

This acquisition marks a milestone in enhancing transportation capabilities and fostering stronger ties between the entities involved in facilitating seamless oil transport across the Caspian Sea.
