A Journey Begins in Curitiba
In 2009, a shy teenager from Curitiba, Brazil, stepped onto a stage for the first time. That moment ignited a passion in Kethelyn Oliveira that would shape her future. “I will never forget when I entered the stage for the first time in 2009. I think after that day I couldn’t be anything but an actress,” she recalls.
Initially, acting was a way to overcome shyness. But it quickly became a calling. Over the years, Kethelyn honed her craft, embracing the challenges and joys of performance.
Embracing the Craft
Kethelyn’s dedication to acting is evident in her continuous pursuit of growth. She has trained under renowned coaches, including Ivana Chubbuck and Alex Broun, and attended workshops across the globe. “I’ve learned that an actor has to be in constant training and improving! This makes me do something for my career every day,” she emphasizes.
Her commitment extends beyond acting classes. Kethelyn engages in voice training, dance, and even learns new languages to enhance her versatility. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with knowledge of French and German, she brings a rich cultural awareness to her roles.
A Star on the Rise
Kethelyn’s talent has not gone unnoticed. In 2024, she won the Best Actress award for her role in “Situationship,” a short film that received acclaim at various international festivals. However, she considers her most significant achievement seeing herself as a lead actress on the big screen in the UAE’s Roxy Cinemas with the short film “Till Death Do Us Part.”
Her filmography includes diverse roles in productions like “Everyone Has Flaws, You Just Happen to Know Mine,” “Golden Deception,” and “Bittersweet Christmas.” Each role showcases her ability to delve into complex characters and bring authenticity to the screen. She is in Cannes film festival right now, and this is her second year attending.
Global Aspirations
Kethelyn’s journey has taken her from Brazil to Dubai, and now to Spain, where she is excited to participate in an acting training program. “I’m excited to go to Spain for training, but can’t wait to be back to Dubai to make more movies!” she shares.
Her international experiences have enriched her perspective, allowing her to connect with diverse audiences and stories. With a background that includes over 10 years living in the Middle East and visiting more than 70 countries, Kethelyn brings strong cultural awareness and adaptability to every project. She got another award as best actress this year in Pupila film festival (a festival from Brazil)

Beyond her on-screen accomplishments, Kethelyn aims to inspire others to pursue their dreams. “I want people to be inspired and believe that they can go after what they dream. I hope they remember me as a kind and passionate person,” she says.
Her message is clear: “You should go for it anyway, don’t listen to the ones that stopped trying!”
