Abu Dhabi authorities have banned specific vehicles from operating on major streets within the emirate starting on October 9.
The announcement of this ban was made by the Abu Dhabi Police, in partnership with the Integrated Transport Center, through various social media platforms.
Restrictions on Large Buses:

As per the ban, buses designed to transport 50 or more passengers will be prohibited from using Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street, spanning from Sheikh Zayed Bridge to Sheikh Zayed Tunnel (formerly Al-Qurram Street).
This restriction applies to both directions during the morning and evening peak hours, specifically on Monday, October 9, 2023.
Peak Hour Restrictions
The ban will be enforced during the peak morning hours, from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and the peak evening hours, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
