Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq has publicly apologized to Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after his recent controversial remarks triggered a massive controversy. 

Razzaq’s comments, made during an event with former cricketers Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi, were widely criticized for their offensive nature.

Regrettable Slip of the Tongue:

In a video message, Razzaq explained that the comments were part of a discussion on cricket coaching and intentions, and he made a mistake by mentioning Aishwarya Rai’s name. 

He acknowledged the slip of the tongue and clarified that he did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments. The former cricketer extended a personal apology to Aishwarya Rai.

Razzaq’s remarks had drawn criticism from the public and his former colleagues, including Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul. 

Afridi, who initially laughed at the comments, later condemned them and urged Razzaq to apologize. 

Other cricket legends, including Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar, also expressed disappointment and condemned the inappropriate comparison made by Razzaq.
