Aamir Khan Celebrates 59th Birthday with Laapataa Ladies Success

Bollywood icon Aamir Khan marked his 59th birthday with heartfelt gratitude towards fans and supporters of his latest film, Laapataa Ladies. Directed by Kiran Rao, the comedy drama has garnered praise since its release on March 1, earning over Dh3.5 million at the box office.

In a special birthday meet-and-greet, Khan extended his appreciation to the audience for their overwhelming support of the film, which is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao’s Kindling Productions.

“I want to thank everyone for supporting this film. In the future, we will continue to make such beautiful films, and I hope you keep supporting us,” Khan expressed his gratitude to reporters.

Laapataa Ladies, set in the fictional state of Nirmal Pradesh, narrates the amusing tale of two brides, Phool and Pushpa, whose destinies intertwine when they accidentally swap places on a train journey.

Joined by Kiran Rao and the film’s lead cast Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava, Khan also took the opportunity to commend Rao for her exceptional work as a director.

“This year, I want to celebrate my birthday with Kiran ji and her team of Laapataa Ladies. It’s a beautiful film. It’s been 22 to 24 years since our production house started making movies with Lagaan, and we are most proud of Laapataa Ladies,” Khan remarked.

Reflecting on the film’s significance, Khan emphasized its portrayal of fundamental human emotions and family dynamics, urging fans to support the project by watching it in theaters.

“If you all want to give me a birthday gift, then go and buy the movie ticket. That will be my biggest gift,” Khan appealed to his fans.
