BOHO GROUP: How Two Cousins Built Dubai’s Most Inspiring Women-Led Conglomerate in 10 Months

BOHO GROUP

In September 2024, two dynamic cousins—Sucheta Sharma (22) and Urvashi Lakhanpal—embarked on an ambitious journey in Dubai. With backing from the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, they launched BOHO GROUP. Less than a year later, this women-led conglomerate now includes four thriving ventures, two Guinness World Records, and a bold blueprint for future growth. Their story is one of resilience, creativity, and community.

The Spark: Beauty with Purpose

Their voyage began with the opening of Meraki Ladies Beauty Lounge in Karama—a luxurious, women-only sanctuary that provides top-tier services in beauty and self-care. With a focus on empowerment and quality, the lounge became a sanctuary for Dubai’s multicultural female clientele. What made Meraki unique wasn’t just the beauty treatments—it was the atmosphere, built around confidence, community, and compassion.

Boho Café: Disrupting Luxury and Accessibility

The second venture, Boho Café, debuted in DIFC with a bold “boho-chic” aesthetic. It quickly became a lifestyle destination, making international headlines for its Guinness-certified “world’s most expensive Karak tea”, served at AED 5,000 with 23-karat edible gold. At the same time, the café offers the cheapest Karak tea in DIFC for AED 1.50—a clear manifestation of their mission: “Serving both the rich and the working class under one roof.”

Jimmydixs Restaurant & Lounge: Record-Breaking Dining and Entertainment

Next came Jimmydixs, inside the Barcelo Hotel in Al Jaddaf. A dynamic fusion of international cuisine and nightlife, it stunned diners with the world’s most expensive mocktail, priced at AED 11,549, earning BOHO a second Guinness World Record. Yet Jimmydixs remains welcoming to all, featuring budget-friendly drinks, live bands, comedy nights, karaoke, and herbal shisha.

Annas & Bhaijan Idli Restaurant: Affordable Comfort Food

On June 16, 2025, BOHO GROUP launched its fourth ventureAnnas & Bhaijan Idli Restaurant in DIP 2. Supported by VIP guests including Iqbal Habtoor and Ahmed Al Jarari, the eatery offers authentic South Indian, Pakistani, and Chinese dishes. Their signature monthly tiffin service brings cultural diversity and affordability to Dubai’s working professionals and families.

A Growth Strategy with Purpose

Sucheta Sharma sums it up: “Dubai is the land of opportunities… we sisters are here to explore and expand in the best possible way.”

Their 2026 roadmap includes:

  • Expanding Meraki with two new branches
  • Launching three additional Boho Café outlets
  • Introducing Food Bank in Jebel Ali by December 2025—serving super‑affordable meals with a focus on sustainability

Diversification: Healthcare and Retail

BOHO next plans to enter new sectors:

  • Aaryan Clinic & Pharmacy—offering general medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, and gynecology
  • Urvashi Mini Mart—an FMCG retail concept launching in early 2026, aimed at providing affordable everyday essentials

Sucheta, also known for her modeling and roles in Bollywood, Punjabi, and Haryanvi music videos, said: “We are in the process of acquiring a clinic where people can receive world‑class healthcare in a compassionate environment.”

Community, Legacy, and Leadership

What truly sets BOHO GROUP apart is their focus on storytelling, community relevance, and inclusivity. They brand each venture not just as a service—but as an experience that bridges tradition, innovation, and luxury.

Driven by vision and integrity, Suchetа and Urvashi aim to inspire young women across the region. “This is more than business—it’s a legacy,” says Sucheta, drawing inspiration from Dubai’s leadership under Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. Their hope: to show that with passion and grit, anything is possible.

Final Thoughts

BOHO GROUP’s ascent in under a year is nothing short of extraordinary. From setting global records to redefining affordability, they’ve fostered a blueprint of inclusive luxury that resonates with Dubai’s diverse audience.

With ventures spanning beauty, wellness, food, healthcare, retail, and community service, the sisters are creating more than businesses—they are forging a legacy of empowerment and innovation.
