Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, commended the Czech Republic for its assistance and aid extended to the Emirati couple injured in the tragic Prague shooting incident.

The deadly incident unfolded on Thursday, resulting in the loss of 14 lives and injuries to 25 individuals as a student opened fire on a university campus in Prague, marking one of the country’s gravest mass shootings.

Injured Emirati Couple

Identified as Ahmed Ibrahim Obaid Ali Al Ali and Rowdah Al Mehrizi, the Emirati couple sustained injuries during the incident. While the extent of their injuries remains undisclosed, both individuals hold significant roles in Umm Al Quwain Municipality and Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority, respectively.

Gracious Gesture of Condolences

In a demonstration of solidarity, Sheikh Abdullah initiated a phone call to Jan Lipavsky, the Czech Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the conversation, he conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathy for the unfortunate events that transpired at Charles University.
