Ajman One Tower: A Look Inside the High-Rise Everyone’s Talking About

Ajman One Tower

Ajman One Tower, one of the most well-known residential complexes in Ajman, has been making headlines lately. Whether it’s for its strategic location, the rising number of tenants, or the mixed opinions from residents, this tower is now the center of attention once again.

Located in the Al Sawan area, Ajman One Tower is hard to miss. The project includes 12 towers with over 3,000 residential apartments, offering studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units. It was developed by Aqaar and launched in 2008 as one of the most ambitious residential projects in the emirate. Today, it remains one of the tallest and most populated developments in Ajman.

But as the population inside the tower grows and the real estate market shifts, residents are beginning to notice both the highs and lows of life inside this towering structure.

A Popular Residential Choice

One of the main reasons people continue to move into Ajman One Tower is its affordability. In comparison to apartments in Sharjah and Dubai, the prices in Ajman—especially at Ajman One—are significantly lower. For many working professionals and families, it offers a chance to live in a spacious, well-located apartment without burning a hole in their pockets.

“I moved here from Sharjah last year,” says Sarah Khan, a Pakistani expat and schoolteacher. “I pay almost 30% less here for a 2-bedroom apartment than what I used to pay in Sharjah. The area is peaceful, and I can still commute easily to work.”

The location is another key selling point. Ajman One is just minutes away from Ajman Corniche, giving residents easy access to the beach. It’s also close to various schools, clinics, restaurants, and supermarkets, making daily life convenient.

Facilities and Amenities: Room for Improvement

While the project was originally designed to offer luxury living with top-tier amenities, some residents feel that maintenance and upkeep have not kept pace.

Ajman One Tower features 24-hour security, a swimming pool, gym, and underground parking. However, not all residents are satisfied with the way these facilities are being managed.

“The gym equipment is outdated, and the pool is not as clean as it used to be,” says Michael D’Souza, who has lived in Tower C for over five years. “Earlier, things were more well-maintained. Now it feels like the building is getting overcrowded, and the management is struggling to keep up.”

Some also pointed out issues with elevator delays, poor ventilation in the parking area, and inconsistent maintenance services as ongoing challenges.

Recent Complaints and Social Media Buzz

In recent months, social media platforms and tenant groups have become more active with complaints and concerns from residents. Many have taken to Facebook and community WhatsApp groups to express dissatisfaction with building management and to seek support from fellow tenants.

Some of the key issues highlighted include:

  • Elevator problems: Frequent breakdowns and overcrowding.
  • Parking issues: Limited space and poor air circulation in underground parking areas.
  • Water leaks: Reports of occasional plumbing issues in kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Service charges: Some residents say they are too high for the quality of service offered.

“I love the location and apartment size, but the building needs better management,” said another resident in an online post. “There should be regular inspections and better response from the maintenance team.”

Management Responds

When approached for comment, a spokesperson for the tower’s management team acknowledged the recent concerns and said steps are being taken to address them.

“We understand that there have been some complaints regarding the maintenance and facilities,” the spokesperson said. “We are currently working on upgrading the gym equipment and improving the pool area. Additional staff has also been hired for quicker maintenance response times.”

The management has also promised better communication with residents going forward, with plans to hold monthly meetings to discuss concerns and feedback.

A Hub for Community Life

Despite the complaints, many residents still enjoy living at Ajman One. The building has become a hub for community life, with families from different countries forming close-knit social groups. Children play in shared open areas, and community events like holiday celebrations, potluck dinners, and cultural festivals are common.

“It’s not perfect, but it’s home,” says Rajeev, an Indian resident and father of two. “We’ve made good friends here, and there’s a strong sense of belonging.”

The Real Estate Perspective

According to local real estate agents, Ajman One Tower remains a hot property for investors and tenants alike. While some older buildings in the city are seeing declining demand, Ajman One still attracts a steady stream of new residents.

“People are drawn to Ajman One because of the size of the apartments and its location,” says Khalid Ahmed, a real estate consultant based in Ajman. “Even with the recent concerns, it’s still one of the best-performing buildings in the area in terms of occupancy.”

He adds that while service quality has room for improvement, the tower’s long-term potential remains strong.

What’s Next for Ajman One?

As more people choose to live in Ajman and housing demand increases, projects like Ajman One will play a key role in shaping the city’s residential future. Whether the management can resolve the current issues and restore full confidence among tenants remains to be seen.
