Starting February 17, 2025, visitors to the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) during major events will encounter a significant increase in parking fees, now set at Dhs25 per hour. This adjustment, implemented by Parkin PJSC, aims to alleviate congestion and promote the use of public transportation during large-scale events.
New Parking Fee Structure
The revised parking rates will be in effect during major events at DWTC, designated as the “Grand Event Zone.” The Dhs25 per hour fee represents a substantial increase from previous rates, which ranged from Dhs2 for 30 minutes to Dhs16 for four hours. This change coincides with the commencement of Gulfood, a prominent food and beverage trade show, underscoring the immediate applicability of the new rates.

Implementation Timeline
The updated parking fees will take effect on February 17, 2025, aligning with the opening day of Gulfood at DWTC. This event marks the first application of the new rates, setting a precedent for future major events at the venue.

Encouraging Public Transportation
In light of the increased parking fees, Parkin PJSC encourages attendees to utilize public transportation options to access DWTC. The venue is well-served by the Dubai Metro, with the World Trade Centre station providing direct access. Additionally, several bus routes service the area, offering convenient alternatives to driving.
Additional Parking Adjustments in Dubai
Beyond the changes at DWTC, Dubai is implementing a city-wide premium parking fee structure starting March 2025. Premium parking zones, located in high-demand areas such as public transportation hubs, central business districts, and major shopping destinations, will charge Dhs6 per hour during peak times (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM). Standard parking areas will maintain a rate of Dhs4 per hour during these periods. Off-peak hours will see unchanged rates, with free parking available overnight (10:00 PM to 8:00 AM) and all day on Sundays and public holidays.

Strategic Objectives
These adjustments are part of a broader strategy to manage traffic flow, reduce congestion, and encourage the use of public transportation. By implementing higher parking fees during peak hours and major events, Dubai aims to optimize parking availability and enhance the overall experience for residents and visitors.
