Weather Update for the UAE: Impact of Cyclone Tej
Several parts of the UAE have been encountering moderate to heavy downpours and hailstorms due to the indirect impact of Cyclone Tej in the Arabian Sea.
The cyclone is expected to gradually weaken into a tropical storm and a depression.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted rainfall in various parts of the country until Friday, October 27.
The NCM has issued warnings and advised residents to exercise caution, especially near flooded valleys.
Weather Forecast:
- Tuesday: Fair to partly cloudy weather is generally expected, with a chance of convective cloud formation in eastern and southern areas in the afternoon. It will be humid at night and Wednesday morning in some western areas. Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, may cause blowing dust. The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will be a little rough.
- Temperature: Yesterday’s highest recorded temperature was 39.3°C in Al Dhaid (Sharjah) at 14:15 UAE Local time.
Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and exercise caution during these weather conditions.
