Popular Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil has been sentenced to two months in jail for a drunk driving incident in Mumbai, as reported by local media outlets.
The 2018 Incident:
The Baazigar actor was involved in a collision with an autorickshaw in 2018, injuring a 21-year-old woman.
Two people occupied the autorickshaw during the incident and attempted to confront the actor after the collision.
However, the then 65-year-old actor attempted to flee the scene, leading to a hit-and-run case. Subsequently, the police were called, and the actor was taken into custody.
Determining the Verdict:
According to a local media report, the decision to sentence Dalip Tahil to two months in jail considered the actor’s condition at the time of the accident.
Medical evaluations revealed dilated pupils, incomprehensible speech, and unsteady gait.
Dalip Tahil boasts a remarkable career spanning over 100 films in the Bollywood industry.
