Dubai volunteers pack aid boxes for Gaza Palestinians

Supplies in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah on Sunday as demand for supplies rises.

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and humanitarianism, hundreds of individuals from diverse backgrounds gathered in Dubai to assemble aid packages for Palestinian families in Gaza. 

This act of compassion, organized as part of the Compassion for Gaza campaign, was a collaborative effort involving the Emirates Red Crescent, the World Food Programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Community Development.

Heavy Traffic, Profound Silence

On the day of the event, the road outside Al Rimal Hall on the Al Ain Road experienced heavy traffic congestion as scores of volunteers converged to partake in this meaningful initiative. 

Notably, the cacophony of honking horns, often typical of traffic jams, was replaced by a somber and poignant silence, underscoring the collective commitment to this humanitarian cause.

Community Unity in Action

Inside Al Rimal Hall, a heartening scene unfolded, where people of all ages, including adults and young children, stood shoulder to shoulder, working together with a common goal. 

Their shared mission was to fill aid boxes with essential supplies, demonstrating the power of community unity in times of need.

These dedicated volunteers packed each box with a variety of vital provisions aimed at alleviating the plight of Palestinian families in Gaza. The contents of these aid boxes included:

• Canned Food: Non-perishable food items were included to provide sustenance to those facing food shortages and hunger.
• Powdered Milk: A vital source of nutrition for infants and young children, powdered milk offers essential sustenance.
• Instant Cereal: Quick and easy to prepare, instant cereal is a valuable food resource.
• Hygiene Kits: Maintaining personal hygiene is critical for health and well-being, and the inclusion of hygiene kits addresses this essential aspect.
• Other Necessities: Various other necessities were included to cater to the immediate needs of the Palestinian families affected by the ongoing crisis.
