Early Inspirations and Cultural Challenges
From a young age, Sanjeev was captivated by the world of marketing. At 14, she watched her aunt prepare for her corporate marketing job, sparking a deep interest in creativity, strategy, and storytelling in business. However, as the eldest daughter in a South Asian family, the expectation was never for her to carry forward the family legacy; that responsibility traditionally fell to the son. This cultural norm posed a significant challenge, but Sanjeev was determined to forge her own path.
After completing her university education, she returned to Kenya with the intention of joining her father’s business and leading the marketing department. However, her forward-thinking vision often clashed with the company’s traditional approach, and the economic climate wasn’t yet ready for digital transformation. Realizing that the family business wasn’t the right fit, Sanjeev decided to build her own legacy.

The Birth of Breathe Media
In 2018, at the age of 25, Sanjeev founded Breathe Media with nothing but her laptop, no financial support, and a determination to create her own legacy. The agency began as a one-woman operation, offering digital marketing services to local businesses. Despite the challenges, her innovative approach and dedication quickly garnered attention.
As the digital landscape evolved, so did Breathe Media. The agency expanded its services, merged with another agency and client base, establishing a strong presence in the UAE and UK markets. Sanjeev’s commitment to excellence and her ability to adapt to changing market dynamics played a pivotal role in the agency’s growth.

Navigating the Pandemic: A Defining Moment
The COVID-19 pandemic was a turning point for many businesses, and Breathe Media was no exception. As the world shifted overnight, businesses had no choice but to go online, and demand for digital strategy skyrocketed. For Sanjeev, this period became the busiest and most defining of her early career.
“Suddenly, businesses had no choice but to go online, and demand for digital strategy skyrocketed,” Sanjeev recalls. “It became the busiest, most defining period of my early career one that cemented my belief in following my vision, even when others couldn’t yet see it.”
This surge in demand validated Sanjeev’s foresight and solidified Breathe Media’s position as a leader in the digital marketing space.
Strategic Expansion and Global Impact
In just one year after merging and co-founding CB Consulting, their work took them from Fiji to producing a song with UK artists to organizing international press tours for clients. The agency’s global reach expanded rapidly, and Sanjeev found a true business partner in Sonal Haria, leading to a merger that propelled CB Consulting into new markets and opportunities.
Beyond client success, Sanjeev and Sonal channeled their growth into creating a mentorship program to support other women-owned businesses. Helping women step into their power and scale their ventures became as rewarding as the global campaigns they executed.
This achievement matters to Sanjeev because it represents more than business growth it’s about resilience, collaboration, and using success as a platform to uplift others. “It’s a reminder that vision, courage, and community can build legacies that reach far beyond borders,” she says.
Building a Legacy Rooted in Empowerment
For Sanjeev, success isn’t just about growth or recognition it’s about creating freedom with her time and choosing projects that genuinely ignite her passion. In the early days, she said yes to everything, but quickly realized that not all opportunities aligned with her values or fueled her creativity.
That shift in perspective has shaped her entire approach to work. Today, Sanjeev prioritizes projects that challenge her, excite her, and allow her to make a real impact. Looking ahead, Sanjeev is focused on scaling CB Consulting globally while leaving a legacy rooted in creativity, impact, and empowerment. “I want to build a lasting legacy,” she says. “For me, that means creating a business that not only thrives today but also paves the way for future generations to dream bigger and achieve more.”
A core part of that vision is generational wealth not just for herself, but for the people she works with and mentors. By building structures that allow women-owned businesses to scale, creating opportunities for creatives to grow globally, and championing collaboration over competition, Sanjeev hopes to inspire a ripple effect that outlives her.

Advice to Her Younger Self
Reflecting on her journey, Sanjeev offers advice to her younger self: trust your vision, but protect your energy. “In the beginning, I thought I had to say yes to everything, prove myself constantly, and work around the clock to be taken seriously,” she shares. “I’d also remind myself that it’s okay to move differently from what’s expected.”
As a young South Asian woman carving her own path, Sanjeev often felt pressure to follow traditional routes. But the moments she chose courage over conformity were the ones that shaped her career the most.

Today, CB Consulting (Former Breathe Media) continues to thrive under Sanjeev’s co- leadership, with a global presence and a diverse portfolio of clients. The agency’s success is a testament to Sanjeev’s vision, resilience, and commitment to empowering others.
Looking ahead, Sanjeev envisions a future where the agency continues to innovate and inspire. “I want to be remembered as someone who built with purpose, who turned creativity into a powerful vehicle for opportunity, and who left behind not just a business, but a blueprint for others to create their own legacies,” she says.
