New Visa Screening Center Opens in Abu Dhabi's Al Shamkha District

In a bid to enhance accessibility to visa screening services, Abu Dhabi has unveiled a new center catering to residents in the Al Shamkha, Al Shawamekh, Al Falah, Madinat Al Riyad, and Shakhbout City areas.

The Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a subsidiary of PureHealth, inaugurated its 18th visa screening center at the Makani Mall in Al Shamkha. This initiative aligns with the emirate’s commitment to community health and safety, following regulatory standards set by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre.

Dr. Farida Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Communicable Diseases Sector at Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), joined representatives from the center to mark the occasion. The collaboration between AHS, Tasheel, and Tawjeeh aims to streamline the visa process by integrating health screenings with visa renewals at a centralized location.

“The establishment of the new screening center at Makani Mall, Al Shamkha underscores Abu Dhabi’s dedication to fostering one of the healthiest and safest communities globally,” stated Dr. Al Hosani. By providing convenient access to visa screening services, the center aims to contribute to an improved quality of life for residents.

Dr. Asma Al Halaseh, CEO of AHS, emphasized the center’s role in simplifying the visa process. “The new Disease Prevention and Screening Center in Al Shamkha represents AHS’s commitment to enhancing accessibility to essential health services,” she noted. With this center being the third facility opened within a Tasheel center, residents can expect faster and more efficient visa processing.

Furthermore, Dr. Khadija Al Marashda, Director of Disease Prevention & Screening Centers at AHS, highlighted the strategic location of the new center. “We aim to bring our services closer to the community by establishing visa screening centers in key locations, such as shopping malls,” she explained. The center, operational from Sunday to Friday between 9 am and 6 pm, offers both regular and fast-track services to cater to varying needs.

Individuals seeking visa screenings can book appointments through the SEHA Visa Screening app, available for download on iTunes and the Google Play store. The introduction of this app further streamlines the process, enabling residents to schedule appointments conveniently.

The initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of creating a seamless and efficient visa processing system, ensuring the well-being of its residents. By leveraging technology and strategic partnerships, AHS continues to play a vital role in delivering accessible and high-quality healthcare services across the emirate.

The establishment of the new visa screening center underscores the commitment of both public and private entities to prioritize community health and safety. With its strategic location and comprehensive services, the center aims to meet the growing demand for visa screenings while contributing to the overall well-being of residents in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas.
