The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced a full closure of a roundabout in the area between Al Qarayen 1, 3, 4, and 5, from Friday, January 26 to Sunday, January 28, 2024. The closure is necessary to carry out maintenance work and improve the efficiency of the road network.
The RTA advises motorists to use alternative routes during the closure and to follow the traffic and directional signs to avoid congestion. This road work is part of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to enhance its infrastructure and ensure the safety and convenience of its residents and visitors.
Motorists are also reminded of a separate closure on the street leading to the University City Hall from Tuesday, January 23, until Wednesday, February 21, due to preparations for the Sharjah Lights Festival. During both these periods, drivers are encouraged to plan their routes in advance and allow for extra travel time.
