Violation Consequences:
- Ignoring the stop sign on a school bus incurs a hefty fine of Dh1,000 along with 10 black points on the driver’s license, as per the UAE Federal Traffic Law.
Safety Measures:
- Motorists are obligated to come to a halt in both directions on a two-way road upon seeing the stop sign, maintaining a distance of five meters from the school bus.
- School bus drivers must display the stop sign when picking up or dropping off students. Failure to do so results in a fine of Dh500 and six black points.
